Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Krasnodar, and even far-off Valencia, Johannesburg, and Tripoli - no matter where you are in the world, Total Dictation invites everyone on an exciting journey into the world of the Russian language.

You just need a pen instead of an international passport. And a desk instead of a plane. Proceed to registration and take your seats. Departure is scheduled for April 5.

Over 1 million people participated in the previous dictation. It spanned 117 countries, 2,500 locations, and 1,300 cities worldwide. Its huge scale is breathtaking!

The theme for 2025 is travelling. The dictated text, as always, is written specifically for the project. The author is Marina Moskvina - Russian writer, screenwriter, journalist, TV and radio host. Marina is a keen traveler, has visited Japan, Nepal, India and has written several adventure books for children and adults.

"In the early 2000s, Total Dictation started in my alma-mater NSU as a small student event. Today, it is a community of millions of Russian-speaking people worldwide.

Our entire cultural code revolves around language, making it a profound and intriguing issue! Together with Total Dictation, we declared 2024 the year of the Russian language in my telegram channel. We did a lot of reading, authored essays, organized a penmanship contest, and naturally, hosted a series of lectures on Russian language and literature. This year, we'll keep it going!
