For more than 20 years, EFKO has been involved in the food ingredients market. In many cases, the company significantly contributes to import substitution and enhances the supply of high-quality, affordable domestic products to Russian producers. For instance, in oleo and confectionery fats, this figure increased from about 30% to 95%.

Currently, EFKO's food ingredients cover hundreds of SKUs of oil and fat products, egg products, enzymes, and crystallizers to enhance the consistency and consumer qualities of spreads and margarines. Since 2024, the biotech sweet protein brazzein is also been on the list.

The company is launching a new investment project at the Evdakovo plant in the Kamensky district of the Voronezh region. The details and parameters were discussed during a meeting between Aleksandr Gusev, the Governor of the Voronezh Region, and EFKO's General Director Evgeny Lyashenko.

During the first phase, the project involves the production of 6 types of high-tech ingredients that are needed in the food and cosmetic industries, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and other sectors.

We are talking about various types of emulsifiers and medium-chain triglycerides, or MCTs, which are crucial for making baby food and popular in sports nutrition.

The range will be expanded in the future, including technological solutions for ice cream producers.

Once operating at full capacity, the plant aims to produce over 8,000 tons of new products annually.

"Having a PhD in chemistry, I was interested in looking at the details of the project. Furthermore, the components intended for production are not currently manufactured in Russia. The company will create more than 50 jobs. Over ten years, the total tax contributions to budgets at all levels will amount to 1.6 billion rubles. This is an interesting project that meets all the requirements for highly significant investment projects and will receive appropriate support measures."
