One of the insights of 2021 is the results of the third ranking of the best employers in Russia. In 2021, the organizers, Forbes and KPMG, made serious changes to the evaluation procedure, placing emphasis on ESG practices.
By 2025, millennials will make up 75% of the world's workforce, and it is important for them that companies take on not only social but also environmental obligations, Forbes and KPMG reasoned.
As a result, the evaluation procedure took into account the results of companies in three main areas: employees and society, environment and corporate governance.
EFKO turned out to be the only entry in the ranking among Russian companies in the agro-industrial complex and entered the “silver” group along with such companies as Otkritie Bank, Detsky Mir, Dom.RF, Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo international airports etc.
From the first day of its existence, our company developed for itself a formula of business as a benefit, which should find a place in people's lives in a cost-effective way, because a business can only be sustainable when it is socially useful. Money is what makes it possible for this benefit (and the business, accordingly) to have a prolonged existence.
In environmental matters, we have never compromised - both in constructing new plants and in reconstructing existing production facilities. The Forbes ranking seemed like an interesting opportunity to compare how we measure up against our peers. We were compared. Our position was determined. There is no limit to perfection. There is room for improvement."
