The expert council of the prestigious Exporter of the Year 2022 award recognised EFKO's achievements in international cooperation and export in two categories.

The company claimed the national award in the "Exporter of the Year for Basic Agricultural Products" category and came second in the "New Geography" category.

The award ceremony was held on 20 October at the Made in Russia forum. Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov presented the award to EFKO Executive Director Sergey Ivanov.

“This year, the results of the competition are announced under harsh sanctions. And, despite the sanctions, we have seen that non-resource non-energy exports continue to rise. This is to the credit of those companies which, despite the trying circumstances, advance their own interests and the country's interests in foreign markets. Those who reached the final are already winners because to survive in this environment, let alone show a strong performance, is already a huge victory”.

The company has been exporting for over 20 years. However, it was last year that export revenue for the first time topped $1 billion (up 70% compared to last year’s) and neared 40% of the company’s total sales. EFKO exports to 50 countries, which is a significant contribution to ensuring global food security.

Most of the exports go to India, China, the Middle East, Iran, and Turkey. The leading product categories are vegetable oils, oil cake, specialised fats and oleo (special fat), innovative feeds and branded products. This year, the company started exporting innovative Hi-food products.

This is our first Exporter of the Year award. It is very pleasing that EFKO'S performance was recognised at such a level. We will continue doing everything to ensure that the products of local oil and fat manufacturers are adequately represented on international markets”.
