EFKO Launched Online Service for Russian Crop Producers

During Zolotaya Osen Exhibition, Vladislav Romantsev, EFKO’s Director for Strategic Development, introduced the company’s new project, the Agrika digital platform, to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The platform uses data from the AIC Unified Digital System and enhances it with information from Earth remote sensing, weather stations, drones, and system users. The whole dataset is processed with artificial intelligence technologies.

The main goal of the platform is effective crop production management: crop rotation planning, monitoring of technological operations, and timely and operational management decision-making. A major distinction from other market systems is that Agrika includes integrated interaction with unmanned aerial systems, greatly enhancing their accessibility in agriculture. Monitoring or treating a field using a UAS can be done in the Agrika system with a few buttons click. This was made possible through seamless integration with the operator company Drone Service.

“A unique feature of the digital platform is its combination of traditional agricultural technologies, space data, and AI elements, seamlessly integrated with unmanned aerial systems,” – Vladislav Romantsev showcased the platform to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. “We aimed to design a service interface that consolidates all field condition information, swiftly identifies and anticipates vulnerable issues, and greatly enhances project management.”

“Agrika aims to automate processes in the agro-industrial sector and enhance the efficiency of agricultural production. In the end, the aim is to elevate domestic crop production to a new digital level and make it easier for farmers to access unmanned technologies, which are now crucial for effectively managing crop production projects.”

Mikhail Mishustin, discussing the project’s essence remarked that data is the oil, gold, and platinum of the 21st century: “The combination and aggregation of data will undoubtedly aid in working effectively in agriculture and the industrial sector overall.”
